Jefferson Little “Heartlands”

Jefferson Little

Heartlands

Exhibition: September 8 – September 30, 2006

Opening: September 8, 2006 5:30 – 7:30

“This series is an exploration of one of the most familiar icons in pop culture. The simple red heart is familiar to all cultures, across all generations;
it is used in marketing and advertising, greeting cards and snack food – the pinnacle of kitsch.
The heart despite its multiple meanings, is often a reflection of what is projected onto it. Hope and despair, renewal and loss
it’s all coming straight from the heart.”
